Entrepreneurship
The general objective of the program is to nurture a new generation of business and social entrepreneurs who are change agents and change makers within their communities, emanating from training they received from Entokozweni Resource Centre-Miag. Entrepreneurship programme aims to contribute to poverty reduction through entrepreneurship development programmes – with focus on incubating and mentoring income generating projects emanating from skills training programme or special income generation linked to the organisation. Individuals or groups to be supported by Entokozweni Resource Centre-Miag must be able to do the following;
- Demonstrate skills in business start-up
- Demonstrate skills in maintaining business longevity
- Demonstrate knowledge of business closings versus failure
- Ability to find next level of training or access other resources and services
- Demonstrate business management/ operation skills – task must be provided
- Use components of a business plan
- Determine impact on unemployment
- Changed attitude toward entrepreneurship as a means of making a living
